Speech Language Pathologist, St. Luke’s Children’s Rehabilitation

Anne is a practicing speech-language pathologist who works directly with children and adults, specializing in AAC (Augmentative Alternative Communication) and CAS (Childhood Apraxia of Speech). She works full-time for St. Luke's Health System in the Treasure Valley, focusing on improving the use of assistive technology across the health organization. She has developed an AAC Camp which has been in operation for 18 years, providing training as well as education to AAC users, families of AAC users, and professionals. This camp has helped develop two additional camps in Canada that are successfully expanding the mission that communication is possible for anyone.

Additionally, Anne consults for the Idaho Assistive Technology Project, providing training and consultation services for the education program. She has held this position for over 10 years. Some of the trainings provided included "Cracking the Code" (a two-day training provided three times across different regions of Idaho in 2019 and 2023), "Communication for Life" (a one-day training provided three times in 2024 and focused on adult AAC needs), and the creation of webinars focusing on AAC training for professionals and families/parents. Anne also presents locally and nationally and has conducted research studies to promote AAC. She has participated in Idaho Speech Hearing Language Services, serving on the board, and holding volunteer positions to support speech-language pathologists in the state of Idaho.
