Richard Gilroy, MD, FRACP

Richard Gilroy, MD received his medical degree from the University of Queensland and completed his general surgery residency at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Following his residency, he completed fellowships in gastroenterology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine.
Dr. Gilroy has previously held roles as faculty and assistant professor of medicine at the University of Nebraska and University of Kansas, respectively. He is also a member of multiple societies and has participated in the development of guidelines in hepatology and transplantation. He is currently the hepatologist at St. Luke’s Health System in Idaho and the medical director of hepatology and liver transplant at Intermountain Medical Center in Utah.
When not at work, Dr. Gilroy enjoys skiing, wine, and chess.
