Executive Director, Ada County Medical Society
Steve is the Executive Director of Ada County Medical Society, a Boise, Idaho-based membership association of over 2900 physicians, advanced practice providers, and medical residents and students. ACMS helps connect the docs in Boise with medical education, practice resources, and networking opportunities. ACMS also works to affect medical community culture change that promotes personal and professional well-being.
Steve has been involved in various non-profit leadership roles since college including medical missions and clinics, social service organizations, churches, and other membership organizations. He received his bachelor's degree from the Edward R. Murrow School of Communications at Washington State University.
He speaks frequently in the local community on topics around burnout, self-care, resilience, suicide prevention, leadership dynamics, and systems change. He is the former host of the Coalition for Physician Well-Being’s monthly webinar and was co-author of the LifeBridge Physician Well-Being Program Toolkit, which was honored as a Program of Excellence in 2019 by the American Association of Medical Society Executives.
