Dr. Alicia Carrasco is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine. She received a master’s in secondary science education at the City College of New York before pursuing a career in medicine. After graduating from the University of Washington, she moved to San Francisco to study Internal Medicine at UCSF in a program focused on primary care for the  underserved. Her clinical focus is on pain and substance use disorders. A passionate educator, she seeks to expand knowledge of and comfort with treating patients with substance use disorders and pain syndromes in primary care.  She helped found the University of Washington Addiction Medicine Fellowship and is president and founder of the Idaho Society of Addiction Medicine.
