Special Education Director, Jefferson School District 251, Co-Founder Balance Point LLC

Julian Duffey is a disabled veteran and has a Masters in school administration from Idaho State University and a Masters in Occupational and Technical Studies from Old Dominion University. For the last two years, he has worked as the special education director for Jefferson School District 251 and is an adjunct professor for Idaho State University. Previously he was the special education director for Bonneville School District 93 and has been a special education teacher, school administrator, technology teacher, and Naval officer. He has also founded Balance Point, an LLC that trains school districts, parent advocates, and parents on the compliance and functional aspects of section 504 and Individuals with Disabilities Education Act compliance. He has several service awards and was the 2018 Idaho Special Education Director of the year. Outside of work, he enjoys travel and working on all things mechanical.
