Sarah is an Associate Director of Programs at the Emory Centers for Training and Technical Assistance where she directs the activities of DTTAC. Her responsibilities include developing and facilitating DTTAC’s in person and virtual trainings and managing a cadre of DTTAC’s national Master trainers. As DTTAC’s leading subject matter expert on the National DPP, Sarah provides strategic guidance to DTTAC and provides assistance to states, organizations and Lifestyle Coaches around the country. Sarah enjoys working with teams and loves creating engaging and fun learning experiences.
Sarah has been with DTTAC since 2011. Prior to her work at Emory/DTTAC she worked in diabetes self-management education and diabetes prevention in a variety of community-based settings such as a federally qualified health center, a rural Navajo reservation and a large public hospital. Sarah earned her BA in Human Development from Arizona State university and her MPH from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. Sarah became a certified diabetes care and education specialist in 2005. Sarah lives in Atlanta, GA, with her husband, son and dog. She enjoys backyard/outdoor fun, writing and spending time with friends.
