Overview:
During the “Anaphylaxis: Guidelines, Triggers, and Treatment Innovations” session, we will review and discuss:
- The two most recent Anaphylaxis Practice Parameters (i.e., 2020 and 2023), including rapid diagnosis, treatment, and follow up care
- The common triggers of anaphylaxis and those patients at high risk for adverse events
- The use of epinephrine autoinjectors, including how to help patients afford this treatment
- The newly approved epinephrine nasal spray, receiving authorization by the FDA in Sept. 2024
- Bi-phasic anaphylaxis and to discern who is at highest risk
- Recognize what is new in the field of anaphylaxis prevention
Target Audience
The target audience includes primary care providers (MD, DO, PA, NP, PharmD, etc.), but all providers are welcome.
